What's in a seed?

Seed contains baby plant with it's own supply of food and all these is covered in the tough outer coat. Every seed, no matter how small, comes with a tough skin that surrounds an inner store of food (the endosperm) that contains all the energy required to feed an embryonic plant that’s already nestled inside the seed coat.

Some seeds comes from trees such as pine and firs, but most seeds are made inside flowers and are protected by soft fleshy fruit. Some seeds are as tiny as specks of dust.

You are actually eating few seeds like peas, if you get a chance to open them up you can see the baby plants inside.
